What is kindness? What does It mean to you?

For us at Shalom Link Mission, kindness is the hands of action that sees the less privileged and every time desires to make a key change that turns their lives around for good. When exhibited, kindness results in being truly useful to the immediate and long term needs of the person in front of you. For us, kindness and love are all root feelings that ultimately leads to action, a catalyst that leads to us helping a person in need.

Jesus, being a perfect example, showed kindness on many occasions. He would sometimes just stop whatever and wherever he was and immediately begin to serve those in need. In Luke 18:35-43, we see Jesus show compassion and empathy to what the Bible describes as ‘a certain blind man’ where Jesus stopped on his way to Jericho so that he might heal this particular ‘blind man’ that called to him for deliverance. It is in true events like these that the Bible teaches us that kindness is a fruit of the Spirit—the result of letting the Holy Spirit grow and mature in you.

So what is kindness and what does it mean to you? For us it means action!
