Personal Hygiene and Health Promotion {PEH-HEP) Program was initiated based on our vision, values and the sustainable development goals with the passion to improve community child health and personal hygiene.
Adolescence is a time when young people are starting to reach a level of maturity where they begin to be more self-sufficient in hygiene and face new hygiene issues due to changing hormones.
It is important for them to be fortified with adequate information to form healthy habits that will promote a healthy lifestyle and environment.
This is why Shalom Link Mission is reaching out to the younger ones in the underdeveloped communities with these objectives through the PEH-HEP PROGRAM:
Goals and Objectives:
Change the health orientation and initiates behavioural changes in participants.
Increase personal hygiene attitude and practice.
Equip and expose participants to gender sensitive hygiene materials and provide information towards maximising their full identity for personal health development.
Develop unique behaviour and thinking skills of the participants to become models of health environmental ambassador, consciously and purposefully make impact at local, national and global levels.
Target Audience
The theme is MY HYGIENE, MY PRIDE. We proposed by May 30th, 2019 to meet 600 girls of Lagos State Education District IV (300 girls from 10 schools in Mainland and 300 girls from 10 schools in Surulere) from 10:00am - 12:30pm. This will involve a brief tutor on hygienic lifestyle, special session on menstrual hygiene by our female representatives as well as a distribution of free hygiene packs with information booklets.
Our Request
We are not able to do this all on our own and so we’re requesting for your financial support and sponsorship towards the success of this program.
